CALU VIRTUAL EVENT REGISTRATION POLICY:

  1. Conference registration entitles participants to access to all main platform and workshop sessions during the event, and also on-demand for a limited period of time following the event.
  2. CALU will make all reasonable efforts to secure Continuing Education (CE) course approval for the event from the following jurisdictions: Institute for Advanced Financial Education (Advocis), FP Canada, Alberta Insurance Council, Insurance Councils of Saskatchewan, Insurance Council of Manitoba, Chambre de la sécurité financière (Québec). Please note that CALU cannot guarantee CE course approval, nor the quantity of CE credits to be allocated.
  3. In order to receive CE certificates (subject to course approval), participants must use real names and the email address associated with their CALU membership in the virtual event platform(s), and must attend for the duration of each session.
  4. All presenters who are also CALU members are required to register and pay for the event.
  5. The dress code for all sessions is business casual.
  6. Registration fees must be paid online by credit card (VISA or MasterCard) at the time of registration. Any bank charges for disputed credit card charges must be paid by the participant and not CALU. Registration fees for virtual events are subject to applicable taxes based on the province of residence of the participant. CALU will send a confirmation email after full payment has been received and processed.
  7. Refunds, cancellations and transfers are not permitted due to the virtual nature of the event and the on-demand access of all conference sessions after the event.
  8. CALU reserves the right to make alterations without notice to the content, sessions, speakers, timing, venue/platform or date of the conference compared to the advertised program.
  9. All CALU members and event participants are expected to comply with the Human Rights Code, and the Citizenship and Multiculturalism Act and shall not discriminate by reason of race, religious belief, colour, gender, mental or physical disability, marital status, ancestry, age, place of origin, family status, source of income or sexual orientation. Participants who do not adhere to this code of conduct may be removed from the virtual event at CALU’s discretion without notice and without compensation.
  10. CALU may record photographs, screenshots, and/or video during the virtual event and may use them in its newsletters or promotional materials whether in print, electronic format or other media, including the CALU website. By participating in the virtual event, you grant CALU the right to use your name, photograph and/or video recording for such purposes. If you have concerns about this, please email directly.
